Teaming with Hui Zhai, MPI student from WuXi China, I worked to help develop a business strategy and expansion plan for her innovative new start-up, Global Classroom. Global Classroom collects 360 video from around the world, and uses it to create immersive K-12 learning programs through Virtual Reality. During the project, we captured 360 video in 4 countries, and were accepted as semi-finalists at the UVA Tom Tom Innovators Cup. Above are a few brief samples of media I developed for the project.

Massage Remedy is a small business offering high-quality massage therapy for stress relief, as well as medical grade decompression services. Getting to know their chief Physical Therapist and owner, I organized a team of peers to design a new brand image that accentuated their ability to provide medical grade massage services not offered by their competition. As project manager, I assembled a team of mass communication majors specializing in logo design, social media, and copy-writing to develop a series of advertisements that would demonstrate the unique capacity to alleviate pain, stress, and muscle tension. In addition, we designed a print campaign for their partner company, Action Cuts, still in circulation today [final pamplet render by Alan Rhea Davis].

RunMiceRunRatRun is a business in MD who offers a safe and effective rodent deterrent. While their product repels - rather than kills - mice and rats, images on their website and TV lead viewers to believe it is a poison. Becoming a friend of the owner during our infrastructure work in Baltimore, I assembled a team to help re-brand the product from the image of poison, to the eco and animal conscious product that it is. In doing so, we created a new brand-image, print ads, and online experience. In addition, I developed a series of friendly animated ads, lo-fi prototype of a mobile game, and an interactive experience that enabled users to take a self-guided tour of a suburban home and learn about rodent control through the first person. The Hydrox Cookie brand dates back to the 19th Century - pre-dating even Oreo. Originally symbolic of 'health' and 'purity,' the name Hydrox quickly lost it's appeal in the 1970's when cleaning suppliers started assimilating words such as "hydro," and "drox" into their names, and Oreo overtook the market. Recently, the CEO of LEAF purchased the brand, and challenged our team rejuvenate it. Facing a brick wall ideating on a brand strategy that compensated for the products name, we vetted routes and niche consumers to create a series of competitively friendly social media campaigns that leveraged humor. As an individual; however, I was challenged by our professor to fully develop an original idea with a unique twist on the name "Hydrox." Impressed by the approach, the CEO and VP identified it as a viable 5 year plan - only to find Oreo capture it 2 years later! See video of presentation in gallery for abstract.
